Time Traveler's Wife

Yesterday night I finally managed to watch "The Time Traveller's Wife". It's a romantic/ sci-fi story about a man who travels through time to meet his wife in different periods of her life. Starring Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams.

I've wanted to watch this movie for a long time. Not that I've read the ''acclaimed bestseller'' this is based on. I mean, I knew that there was such a novel, but the main thing that attracted me to see the movie was Eric Bana. Plus, I like the sci-fi aspect, time travel and stuff in different kinds of movies too.
So, basically what put me off from seeing the thing is unexplainable. I really wanted to watch it and I've finally done that.Bravo!

I must say that Bana and McAdams look georgeous together in this. The acting, though nothing spectacular, is ok here. The movie didn't bore me at all, nicely paced, nicely edited. I really loved the score and the overall mood, the story was very interesting with fresh approach to time travel in a romantic movie. The time travel itself was sort of Los Cronocrimenes type when there is only one timeline that can't be changed no matter what you do... at least that's what I thought...

However, if we start nitpicking, the time travel aspect upon which the story is basically build, is somewhat flawed. Not to start getting into details and spoiling the plot, let's just say that in some cases the characters' actions were a bit illogical and whether the timeline could be changed or not... that's still a major question.

But overall I liked the movie. The acting wasn't superb but it was ok enough, the mood was well created, the movie did not drag, there were some flaws with time travel thingy but... a solid 7.5/10 from me. A nice little movie to watch.
