Prometheus, Iron Sky, Project X

Honestly, out of these three movies I liked Project X the most.

Sure it's about as realistic as me winning 100m at the Olympics but it's just a fun, fun, fun, silly, stupid, fun movie. What else do you need with beer and snacks, and some mates?

Prometheus tries to be smart, tries to be more than it's sequel Alien and tries to touch the sky that's Scott's own Blade Runner but it's just damn confusing. Beautiful to look at but not that coherent and just damn confusing and not in that brilliant kind of way... It's still a good movie but I guess that's the problem. We expect more from Ridley Scott.

Iron Sky - from the director of Star Wreck, the fan made Finnish Star Trek/Babylon 5 mashup parody, Tuomo Vuorensola. See IMDB for more details. I guess it's a fun movie for the budget they had and director who's still not that experienced but well, I guess hype killed it a bit too. They knew all they could do wwas a B movie and it certainly feels like a B movie but sometimes maybe too much and that's the problem. Also some (or most) of the humour there feels weird but maybe that's just Finnish understanding of humour (or it's just not as good a movie as it was hyped to be).

Anyway, at least I managed to watch three new movies recently. That's good considering I work and have other stuff too
